About Kerry…

A CEDR-accredited mediator - workplace, employment & civil/commercial

Employment solicitor (non-practising) - 20+ years’ experience gained in leading City law firms

I am a CEDR-accredited workplace, employment and commercial mediator and the founder of Wavelength Mediation.

I help businesses and individuals resolve conflict - the kind that disrupts working relationships, consumes management time and prevents everyone involved from moving forward.

Sometimes that means restoring a working relationship; sometimes it means finding a practical and dignified way to part.

A lawyer's perspective

I bring to mediation the perspective of an employment lawyer, with a career spanning more than 20 years and developed within leading City law firms.

I advised employers, businesses and senior leaders on complex and sensitive workplace matters - from discrimination and bullying & harassment to senior executive disputes, grievances and settlement negotiations.

I understand how disputes unfold, the legal framework, and what is genuinely at stake - legally, commercially and personally.

As a mediator, parties and their advisers can be confident I will grasp the issues quickly, handle sensitive matters appropriately, and keep the process focused.

My approach

Calm, impartial and practical.

I create a confidential environment where parties can speak candidly, address difficult issues and make informed decisions for themselves.

Every dispute is different, so the process is tailored to the circumstances and the people involved — in format, timing and structure. Mediation can take place online or in person.

Beyond my practice, I volunteer as a career and interview coach with Smart Works Scotland, a charity supporting unemployed women back into work - a continuing reminder of the difference the right conversation, at the right time, can make.

Recent work has included…

Mediating fractured working relationships involving allegations of bullying and high emotion.

Supporting an employer and employee to explore a way forward following lengthy grievance and disciplinary processes, and sickness absence.

Mediating a three-party employment dispute involving complex and sensitive discrimination claims scheduled for a 21-day Employment Tribunal hearing.

Start with a chat

Every dispute is different, and mediation is not always the answer — but I believe a conversation is a good place to start.

If you are dealing with a workplace, employment or commercial matter, I would be happy to arrange a confidential, no-obligation discussion to explore if mediation is the right fit.
